Well the mighty Aristo is in at Lucifer's to diagnose oil and coolant leak, it turns out the oil pressure switch has gone and it will prob need big end shells? doing, bill will have 3 0's on the end and more than a one at the front, this bullet proof engine theory is not wearing well with me any more, it has done 98,000 stock:search:

Hmmm...

Now I know the aristo's were actually designed before the supra, and a lot of the supra design is owed to the aristo...

Are people sure that the engines are 100% identical... afterall the A340E gearbox shared with the NA and TT aren't. I'm wondering if the aristo TT engine is slightly different, similar perhaps to the NA and TT engine and the oil squirters under the pistons...

Might be a long shot, but could be worth finding out.

Soop Dogg's engine popped its pressure switch and leaked oil onto his driveway. He changed it himself for a few quid.

Why do you need the new shells?

Indeed, I don't see why a leak from the oil pressure warning light switch would bugger the crank bearings, unless the engine was also allowed to out / low of oil.... Bearing failure on a stock, unopened JZA80 usually follows from either running very low on oil, or cheap oil sedimenting out and blocking the oil pump pick up strainer.
