Absolutely - for f**ks sake don't use ANY generic/partco parts when it comes to servicing!! You're not driving a Ford/GM
Wez
The fuel filter can be a real pig to get off, well thats what i heard, I got CW to change mine
markssupra
I found mine no problem at all to change, but get a toyota filter, not a cheap Halfords one.
carl0s
I seem to remember the procedure being: 1. Pull the EFi fuses so the fuel pump doesn't work. 2. Try to start the engine to take any fuel/pressure out of the lines. 3. Get a flare-nut spanner to remove the old fuel filter. 4. Fit the new filter, being extremely careful not to cross the threads. 5. Reconnect EFI fuses and start engine.
carl0s
Stating the obvious here, but the flare-nut spanner looks like this: http://www2.css-networks.com/flarenut.jpg My local Facom distributor didn't have a clue.
Alex
FWIW. Partco's brake discs are as good if not better than stock... But I'd use a Toyota Fuel Filter.
