Got bored waiting, so i made a custom single gauge holder

was waiting for the resin to arrive today,

so i cracked on with a single 60mm gauge into the glove box. the gauge has been lying around in my room since fitting my new headunit.

im keeping the mechanism, so i can still use the glove box if i wish. got to smooth it up and trim in alcantara or vinyl:) , should look OEM when finished.

well, i dont have anymore gauges at the mo, but would put up to 3 in there.

i kind of chomped the rear part up a bit, when initialy doing it, but after deciding what angle in car would be best, the gauge doesnt protrude through to the back piece,

so should have just drilled on smaller hole to feed the loom through the back.

anyone know of a used glove box for sale? or just the rear plastic part

i might be doing this. aswell as custom a pillars (that fit) just doing the sums as to weather its worth it.

lol, nope, i didnt use any dead skins.

if you removed the vinyl from the glove box, its white foam underneath,

i went over that with fibreglass tissue, it will be covered

Hmm. You've done such a good job so far. Might be worth getting G&B to do it though as don't you have to steam it to assist in stretching?

went to my local sextons car audio today, to see which heat forming vinyl to get, and they havent got any for a week.

so i thought id prep it smooth and give it a few coats of paint, some bronze old spray paint i had lying around, ( ignore the centre part where the latch goes, havent had the time or small fingers to smooth that part yet.

i can now get the imperfections out, mind the are not many, lol

it really shines, so i think i will just spray it up the same colour as my car in the end, WHITE.

carbon effect vinyl wont stretch im sure, that black plate is the stock mechanism that flips the glove box up,

its just resting in place for pics
