jot_ie
Hi all Its been a while since I posted Hols, silly season at work, family stuff Hope you all had a good summer Looking to do my next upgrade to the supe I am thinking injectors Would I be wiser to get drop-in's for the j-spec tt vvti or go for a more complete setup , i.e rail with injectors resistor pack etc etc Will I need any electronics, all I have at the moment is an hks evc 4, thats pretty useless at the moment due to full decat with restrictor ring. I have upgraded fuel pump Greddy 3 row fmic thor fuel cut defender full decat rltc and a few other bits and bobs I am working my way towards some new big tubbies hopefully early next year Regards John
Alex
I'd make an ECU your next call... I'd go for a V-Pro or a MoTeC M800 on a VVTi. The V-Pro is probably easier to get sorted, though your limited to only a few dealers. I wouldn't bother with the injectors till you fit bigger turbos. And in fairness I'd say wait and do all 3 at once.
jot_ie
I wish I could do all 3 at once Unfortunately finances dictate a step by step approach. I have been keeping away from the ecu's for a while and was thinking of a piggyback unit, mainly due to the shortage of mappers here in ireland what kind of cost would I be looking at for the v-pro and the motec, mapped John
jot_ie
Anyone? Anyone else like to jump in here and give some much needed guidance? Is it because I am Irish? John
Alex
EMU is your best bet then.
jot_ie
Thanks alex Just trying to get a cost on these options (vpro v's the motec) at the moment. They may be way over my budget though, when mapping is taken into consideration I have heard of people using piggyback ecu's on big turbo upgrades though. Will these not suit a vvti? Alex
Because of the MAF it's better to go with an ECU replacement that allows you to remove it.
grahamc
Sorry but tend to agree with Alex on this one. I was also looking to spread the costs a little, but at the end of the day, going for the ECU first forces remapping, at considerable cost. Fuel system, I would recommend a complete system, not a mix-and-match idea. Not really useful doing it seperately... Rather save and do all at once... Thats what I am doing! Good luck!
