No such thing as a good HKS Induction kit.

The best induction kit for the Supra is the stock airbox.

ps. welcome to the club Marc

Thanks Nic. Confused.... I want to improve performance, thought an induction kit was the way to go?

A pod type induction kit sucks hot air from the engine bay (especially hot on a turbo car) and has less filtration area (and in the case of the HKS poorer filter element), this results in a reduction in power and more engine/turbo wear.

The stock airbox has 2 cool air feeds, one above the radiator and one below the headlight. The panel filter has a greater filter area and better filter element. The cooler air means better performance and better filtration means better engine wear.

There are far better mods to do to improve performance, what is the spec of you car at the moment?

Standard at the moment, just bought HKS front pipe, second decat pipe, and HKS silent hi-power exhaust. Also got superchip

How much did you pay for the superchip and can you get your money back? The superchip is just a HUGELY expensive fuel cut defencer (prevents ecu cutting fuel above 1bar), FCD's are available elsewhere for around £80.

If it's a J-spec Supra that you are decatting, you will need to fit a restrictor ring in the exhaust to stop the car from over boosting. You'll also need to fit a cooler grade of plug once running higher boost to prevent misfire, I would also recommend fitting new fuel pump and fuel filter to ensure adequate fueling at higher boost.

Do a search for BPU (Basic Performanve Upgrades) and you will find loads of threads on the subject.

Can you elaborate on that? The Supra ECU is not 'chipable'. The only think you can do is remove fuel cut with an FCD (£60), but this won't make any difference unless other mods are done beforehand.

Edit - Too slow, Nic already mentioned it

yes it is a J-spec Supra and have got a restrictor ring. Can't get money back on superchip....
