Help!

hi there,can anyone help me out with my 2.2 vtec prelude year 92?? the problem ive got is that the engine revs itself up to 2000rpm then it goes bk to ticking over then back up to 2000rpm then bk down and so on and so on!! ita an auto by the way any help would me much appreciated!!

I used to have a 2.2Vti 5th Gen before, check out hondarevolutions.com - some really good chaps on there that should point you in the right direction.

i had a honda civic that did this.... but i sold it before getting it fixed... the guy i sold it to seemed to think he could replace a bit and sort it for around 40-50 squid...

faulty stepper motor perhaps?
