cheers, the other day it was fine i just bought a new battery which starts brilliant i guess il keep starting it now and again and see if it clears but thanks for the help i thought it could be a major problem

Jazz dont just keep starting it and switching it off, id serisouly consider taking it for a nice long sprint, it will clear up, im sure it something to do with the ECU learning, mine did this after it was parked up for a while with a dead battery.

you have said before mate you havent been driving this car, which petrol is in it im presuming optimax?!?! im also guessing you havent driven it for a few weeks and used all the petrol as you said you wont drive your car.

Optimax starts to go off after a couple weeks. so im saying:

1. your petrol has gone off (i.e giving lumpy / low idle)

2. maybe you got a dry solder point on the back of the dash :) causing faulty rev problem
