I've just entered the next round of the time attack series http://www.timeattack.co.uk/ on August 20th at Silverstone(unfortunately my least favourite circuit!)

I will be entering in my Supra and running in the club class under mkivsupra.net

Hopefully I'll see some of you there?

Cheers
Paul

I'll do my best. To be honest I'm not really going there to win, I think I'll need some semi slicks and bigger bollocks for that! And I'm a bit rusty these days on track, only done 2 track days in the last 2 years. I will of course give it plenty of welly though!

The Timeattack people have been asking me if we want a club stand at one of the dates.

Anybody want a club stand on the 20th August at Silverstone? Im not sure what sort of discount I can get on the tickets but I should be able to get something.

Worth going along to support Paul.

So anybody interested?

I'd be up for this - as long as Paul/Daz get my car finished

I'll check and see if Pete's available as well...

May be stick a post up in the events section on this? Should be a good meet, good venue and plenty to watch with the D1 going on as well.

Sounds like a plan so consider me in as well!

Will your car be allowed to go on the circuit then Paul?! :p

Bit on the loud side from what the sound guys said on that last trackday you did!!!!!!!!!!! ;) :d

No in all seriousness it'll be a pleasure to see you car back in the limelight as it's about time you blew the cobwebs off and gave it some welly again!!!!!!!! :eyebrows:

Hopefully join you otherwise, best of luck with it!!!! :)

I'm running HKS Hyper's at the moment which I find very good for road use, never used Ohlins on a Supra as yet, I've got a car coming over from Japan with a set on though I'll see what there like.

Thats a good point, I wonder what the noise limits are, probably wont have any thinking about it, if F1 can run round Silverstone on a Sunday I think my car will be ok!

Keep us posted on those Ohlins Paul, ITs a big outlay for susp[ension but they are regarded as the best us mortals ca buy.

Really good luck with the time attack. Jody adn I may pop up and watch.

I'd add Quantum to the list as well Luci - remote reservoirs, very trick bits of kit. A LOT cheaper than Ohlins too. Matt has them fitted to the Trial car.

can you just enter one event or do you have to do the whole load? Asking as I am interested in doing this when I am a bit older but cant really afford to do a full championship

do you just turn up on the day to get entry, or do you have to get tickets before hand??

Paul Whiffin

Hi

I will be going to this hopefully. Lex 'show me your boost' gave me a voucher at the 'supra' Ace Cafe meet. It will be good to see some Supras in action :-).

Perhaps with enough interest a convoy of sorts can happen. If not, I may tag along with the rx-7 boys...

Bad news I'm afraid, just went to move my car out of the garage and noticed a pool of fluid left behind on the floor, its power steering fluid. Popped the bonnet and looks like its coming from the high pressure hose that goes from the pump to the rack, got a small split in it. Changing that(if I had a spare one) isn't a 5 minute job and I've got to be there by a certain time to sign on and all that. So thats that then, gutted, really looking forward to blasting my car round as well, toss wank shit bolox.
Sorry to let the club down, really wanted to put on a good show for the Supra's but unfortunately nothing I can do, will be going up in another car anyway to spectate and see a few faces though.

Shame to hear that Paul.

the final event for timeattack is still yet to come, the drift final will be at Trax but the timeattack final isnt there so we can all try and make the final date if thats an open event.

So lets try and make the next one a big turnout.

Sorry to hear that mate as I know you were looking forward to giving it some real stick again as it's been a while! Main thing is it's not too serious and didn't let you down on track so to speak!

As Branners says there is still the final this year and a few other events where you can give it some stick! ;) :d

Pain in the ass when something like that happens but at least it's in the best hands to get it sorted and back on the road/track!! :d

Hope to catch up with you sometime later in the week!

All the best,

Pete :)

I did see you there Paul - spectating from the marshalls stand on the outside of the track. We got told off like naughty school children for being up there just ten minutes before you went up!

Yeah, we had a good view from up there, didn't hang around long enough for anyone to catch us though!

September 17th at rockingham according to my t-shirt :-) Was good to chat to you. As has been said before, a pity you couldn't compete and hope the issue will be sorted.

Ahhh, I sit corrected :-) just had a quick look on the website - it does say venue TBD... Out of interest, what category were you going to run in? Tuner or club?
