lockys96 Posted August 7, 2006 Share Posted August 7, 2006 well, first trackday, and a fast one to choose. cars varied from mustang - viper - atom - ferrari etc had a couple of goes, firstly with the instructer, let my bro have a number of goes as well, and he hasnt even driven the car before. it was 5 on for 10mins each time, with about 20 cars in attendence. i did take it slowly and try to follow the lines, then some girly instructer wanted to take it out, as she had never driven one, My God was she quick, im thinking were off every corner, she was calm as ever and talking through the corners, (not that i could take any of that in whilst she was driving) she said the car had loads of grip, and i was suprised after everyone said how twitchy it is on corners over 120mph through corners!! wish i was a pro driver, need a few more trackddays there before i can get that confident. after i parked up after the instructer had driven, there was a load of noise coming from the engine, though the rad was going to go, but it didnt, and the temperature guage stayed half way all the time, also i noticed yesterday, going round a corner 3 loud scrapes, didnt know what they were, wasnt until i was on the track that i noticed the under-skid pan thing hanging off. i need a new one, can i just tempory remove it? uploading pics now Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

lockys96 Posted August 7, 2006 Author Share Posted August 7, 2006 on the straight, ure suposed to keep right, and let others overtake. i did, but kept my foot planted, the exige and atom couldnt catch, just need to feel more confident chucking the car into the corners, and keeping the power on. lockys96 Posted August 7, 2006 Author Share Posted August 7, 2006 is that on standard/road going rubber? yes mate, was amazing, planting power though the corners, hard breaking. she was catching the db9 on track. fronts are cheap kuhmo's as well, lol. rears are toyot t1-s, kept saying, ure going to wreck my tyres, you can feel a lot of side force, i felt like we were going to go off in the passenger seat, but these people know the track and its there job, at least i know the handling of the sup a bit better Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lockys96......how much was it at goodwood if you don't mind me asking? 265 for full day 8-5pm its one of the more expensive track days, however not many other places do 105db track days, mine was only 90db at just over 5,000rpm thats the superdragger for you How did you find it with the other guys on the circuit?
