What do you reckon?!

So far, my supra modding experiance has been costly, ive spent over 3K so far and have little to show for it! think ive got the word Mug written across my head sometimes after spending around 800 smackers all in to have my boost problem fixed, only not to have it fixed and ended up fixing it my self by simply changing the dial on my HKS FCD. Anyways, the latest in the saga of wasting money is as follows. I was wondering what peoples thoughts on the cost are or whether its not that much of big deal?

Following my purchase of a Do-Luck late front bumper, my car has spent the the weekend in the bodyshop getting it fitted after the bumper itself has been smoothed & re-shaped in places, primered then sprayed.

Picking the car up this afternoon and handing over £600 for the job. :Pling:

Is it just me or is that a bit pricey just for the spraying and fitting of a front bumper?! they did say they had problems with it but still?

Please comment people!

It does seem a tad pricey, I would have been expecting no more than £350 to fit and spray.

I had a mahoosive dent on my rear quarter panel (thought it was gonna need a new panel it was that bad) after an incident with a wall:d , and to pull that out, fill and smooth, paint, blend and laquer on the rear bumper and passenger door was £490 and there was alot of work involved.

No the bumper was £480 on top of that! £1080 all in!!!!! (typing that as i tighten the noose!!)

Not sure about the job yet, picking the car up tonight so pics later!

So it does seem ive paid over the odds.. need to speak to the bodyshop guy tho and see what problems hes had but i know hes charging me allot. Not to say he hasnt done the work mind, it might just be that hes had to put that much work in. I do know he does a awesome job tho so i hope the finish warrants the cost

I paid £70 a litre for Toyota grade 1 paint for my bumpers and sideskirts. Thats original black paint. Paid £100 for it to be fitted and reinforced cos mine was missing a couple of the original mounting holes under the headlights.

If £600 dont include the bumper itself, and its not magic flip paint or some other speciality colour, then you better start negotiating with the bodyshop mate.

Matt I did exactly the same 3 years ago mate. I ended up paying a fortune to have my body kit fitted. Now I take my car to people who specialise in Supra's and the finish is as good and works out a damn lot cheaper
