do facelifts have a bigger tank? Or TT/NA differences?

So the last two pre-facelift NA's I had cost about £40 for 3/4 ish of a tank, the facelift TT costs nearer 60quid for the same (3/4 tank).

Now:

a) petrol went up by far more than a gold bar in the three weeks I was supeless

b) it was falling out of a hole in the bottom of the tank

c) the tank is bigger

d) the gauge was wrong and it was nearer empty.

No idea what a full tank costs exactly as I have never let any of them fall below 1/4 tank.

My jspec TT costs £65 quid if near empty to fill it up.

I thought it was only UK specs with bigger tanks.

oh and petrol is always going up by the price of a thai bride every 3 weeks

Well so did I, maybe its the facelift gauge which is different, although - a 1/4 is a 1/4 surely lol

Nah, I'll just convince myself that all the money is nothing to do with driving hard all the time but because the tank needs more filling

any one no how many miles you get off a tank ( rough guide takin it easy and hammering it ) and how much to fill them? Pick up my TT auto on sat so thought id ask. Im paying at the mo on the car ive got £50 and getting 200miles. i need to start saving me thinks!

I average between 250 and 300 miles per tank with varied driving in an auto TT

All Jap cars 70L, all UKs = 80L.

Mertoc and the TTs have all taken the same amount of fuel to fill up. I always run from full to empty so I've got a good idea of how much they took to fill.
