View Full Version : RPM Signal wire
Hi, could anyone out there tell me where i can pick up the RPM wire on the TT, i am moving intellistart (Clifford) from NA to TT, on the NA it was on the Coil Pack, on the TT i can't find a pick up point .:help:
probably around the clocks, although i dont actually know as i never fitted one to a TT :)
I fitted a greddy E01 to my TT I connected the rpm signal wire to the ECU.
If you Disconnect the ECU harness its the its the bottom right hand side wire which you connect it to.
Hope this helps. its a piece of cake to get toIll find out the colour for you and post it later.
Dont use the ECu wire as it degrades for some reason. We have found this when fitting race logic.
Use the screw with a ring connector at the back of the clocks. This is teh purest signal.
Thanks a lot guys for your quick replys, cheers Lucifer for putting us straight on that one . :d

Depends if you want RPM or taco signal, as there is both, taco is pin16 on E10 and RPM/igniter feedback is pin58 on E9.

How do you mean Martin? What are the symptoms of degradation?
Ta.
You can get a messy signal if you have too many things plumbed into the IGF line. RLTC is the first to suffer from this, with poor low-rpm readings.
You can use the TACH line as well, I've got two things on IGF and one on TACH and everything is fine, my thanks to Matt Harwood for sussing that one out :)
