I think this means its still collaborated in kmh instead of mph.
I have done a search but cannot find out how to change it or unrestrict it.
Help appreciated.
Thanks
Mark
Hi,
Ya so does mine, :)
Maybe Toyota decided that above 70MPH you should be paying more attention to the road and doing less "cruising" :D :D

why would you want to do this?

I have been told its down to a poor speedo conversion and the Thor one should sort it out along with my active spoiler issues.
Nah it's just down to where the cruise control get's it's speedo feed. If it's before or after the convertor. You want it to be wired into the same wire as the input signal for the convertor, not after it as it will be as stock, so you need to trace the speedo wire from the C.C. ECU (look at the electronics manual on mkiv.com) and cut it and splice it into the speed signal wire that's going to the convertor.
It should work up to something like 120.
mines goes over that, used the thor delimiter
It doesn't matter which delimiter you use, it's down to where the speed signal feed for the cruise control comes from. You want it to come from before the convertor. The Thor unit has a 1:1 output so you can wire it into that, or save yourself the expense of the Thor unit and wire it in before the convertor. 6 and 2x3's.

my active spoiler comes down at 90mph rather than 60mph.
Can i use this same principle to alter the active spoiler to activate at the right speed?
I admit that I don't know how cruise control works, neither do I care to know.
I just pay attention so that I don't engage it accidentally.
Total waste of space, IMO
Creature comforts John.....
I use mine when I'm in roadworks with a 40 or 50mph speed limit, works amazingly well as a pitlane limiter type thingy :p
Mine doesnt go over 70 either which is a shame cos the only time i would ever want to use cruise is on the motorway and who drives at 70 on the motorway?!

Mine goes up to 88mph then i can go back or forward in time
I admit that I don't know how cruise control works, neither do I care to know.

Each to there own, i love having CC on the motorway
This Thor diag indicates how theirs is wired with a 5/8 signal - not 1:1 as suggested above.
