Hiya mate. Mine is surely a write-off, but so far we haven't been able to get proper confirmation of this from the insurers. It's looking like this might happen today though, as I'm about to be given a number for the engineer so we can agree a write-off figure. I guess that means it *is* a confirmed write-off. So the new baby is bloody close :D
If I am able to buy back the salvage for less than a grand then I will be doing so.

Had a real good night! bad end though, my mate shagged his clutch on his Skyline at about 11pm, took till 3am for the RAC to send out a flatbed that could get a Skyline on!
Good turn out from the Suope guys, however after id got a beer, everyone seemed to be leaving!

Nice meet, was really proud of our turn-up looked like we were the most organised and professional group of car people there...
Even though my car was the ugly duckling.... i took notes, to begin styling .... and hopefully, bring more brightness to our pressence....

I heard that Chris and Stuart have been doing really late shifts trying to get it sorted too, They still working on your car on Saturday Night, and were planning an early start on Sunday morning too :p That can be the only reason they couldn't make it to Blackpool on Saturday night :innocent:

They think it could be a dodgy wire to number 3 injector or a dodgy signal of some sort to the ECU telling it to cut out intermitantly. POssibly something like Traction control. Had a really good look at it the night before it went though with a mate whos a mechanic and he noticed a very weak spark at number 3. Coil packs and plug themselves were fine so it was something to do with the signal. Hyper are looking at this as well, i hope.

Cool, as you come off the M6 at J27, head up the sliproad and take a left at the roundabout. About 50 yards up on the left there is a left hand turn onto a road called South Whiteacre. Pull into there and just pull up on the left. I live round the corner and will pick you up on the way past.
Alternatively, if you are early or just want to meet at mine just come round to my house and will set off there. I usually leave mine about half 6 so as long as youre there for then thats cool. Will prob head from mine to the Shell Garage at Haydock where will meet a few others and head down in a convoy for half 7.

Yeah its not the cheapest at the moment, plus the best quote ive had is a bit closer to me, in Leigh so they are winning the race. But still looking at other possibilities. Would love to get it on for Mascrat.

Click the "browse" button and select the picture you want to put up and click "Open".
Then click the "Host it" button.
Wait for the page to change, will take a few mins depending on size of the picture.
When it changes you will have quite a few lines of text. Underneath your picture there will be 2 lines that say "Hotlink for Forum (1)" and "Hotlink for Fourm (2)". Copy all the text that is in the 1st one (1) and then paste that text into your Thread Reply on here. and hey presto you have a picture:

Then click the "Host it" button.
Wait for the page to change, will take a few mins depending on size of the picture.

Was packed last night, thats the first time ive ever had to queue to get it, although the fact that they were having to park people didnt help matters. Decent turn out from us lot again, shame we couldnt all park together. Nice to see a few new faces and good to catch up with Leon and Leslie again, a nice car you have there.
Had a bit of fun on the way home as well, was nice to open her up again after being off the road so long, just a shame it started to rain.
See you all next month, if not sooner.

Unfortunately I did thankful got to junction 28 and every time I put it in gear the engine started to die anyway managed to coast down the hill to shell garage were it stop on the road as I pull in! Anyway two really nice guys in an old MR2 help me get it to the pumps! DOH that'll teach me! When the light comes on it really does me empty!

Bummer about the petrol man, must admit i was very low as well but made it home. Nearest shell or tesco is quite a way off though so may have to be BP ultimate till i can get there. Damn right it will be a good run in the summer, will be good to see how the 2 cars compare. gutted :) i had my arsenal top in the back waiting so i could put it on at an appropriate time just after you'd arrived :p but i ended up gettin there really early, not staying long & set off before you arrived
as for the parking issue, providing you're there for 6.30 ish it's fine for getting in - they were just trying to get everyone to fill up from the end onwards i think, not that that is usually a problem
it's the d!cks who just park in the middle of the lanes instead when there's no spaces left :rolleyes:
Yeah, another excellent turnout this month. I got there late and told the parking ladies 'it's ok, let me through, i can park down the bottom end & block some of my mates in'.. went past all the people queuing to get in, got down to the bottom & it was rammed with no spaces! oops :d managed to get a good spot anyway..

a strut brace should stiffen your suspension as it stops the turrets flexing :)

The only brace that'll fit an N/A is the Carbin one, Nic sells them at a good price. Only thing is they don't fit over a Top Secret type II bonnet.
The difference was very noticeable on mine when doing 100+ leptons on the motorway - the car felt a lot more stable.

Its official, car aint gonna be running for tonight. Looks like we've knocked a wiring loom so an auto electrician is coming out on thursday to take a look for me, bummer. Not gonna come down in the pug cos tbh im so pi$$ed off with the Supra the last thing i really want to do is go to a Supra meet. I know the problem's self inflicted but something as simple as changing the throttle body and manifold shouldnt cause a prob like these. Seriously thinking of selling ones its fixed.

has gaz changed his mobile number, i have sent him texts on xmas and new years eve but with no reply ( just a bit concerned thats all ) if he's o.k. ...
im only 30mins away but supe not back on the road just as yet, i'll be there for next months meet, fingers crossed :)

Not yet, hopefully the auto elecetrician will be coming in the next few weeks to take it away on a trailor and try to find out which wire is dodgy and replace it. Prob gonna be a fairly big job tbh. :(

Bloody nowhere now. They failed it's MOT! After telling me before xmas to get a set of front tyres & rear brake pads for the MOT, I get them done and they fail it on rear tyres, headlight alignment, emissions and abs & fog light telltales not working. Drove it home and found my speedo is dead, so it looks like they've not put the dash back properly. It's been through 2

Cheers Rob, it looks like it'll be next month now before I can think about getting another MOT though, as I'm broke and can't afford the rear tyres. I'm still fuming, if I'd have known they would fail it on all that shit (most of which is a result of the car being stripped for the respray) I wouldn't have wasted 300 quid on front tyres as my new rims should arrive at the end of the month.
Very soon there will be a set of stock 16's for sale with brand new Goodyear GSD3's on the front if anyone is interested.
I have a pair of rear tyres still on the rims i damaged, they are 17" think they are 255/35/17 budget tyres like but will pass an mot. but by your post i think you have 16" if not mate your welcome to them

Cool, cheers Ian. I need to get the headlights aligned, find out what's going on with my dash (and possibly the ABS if it's not just the warning light that's faulty), the horn fixed and a rear foglight conversion done first. And I'm broke. Hopefully my mate will be able to have a look at the wiring this weekend for me and get the horn & fog light sorted. After that, I really have no idea what's happening, everything's just plunged into chaos right now; I'll keep you all informed as I plough through the mess.

I've got 3/4 of a fog conversion you can borrow for the MOT mate. Have got lights, looms, and relays just missing a switch, and wiring from dash to lights (you'll also need a telltale bulb to show when the fog is on) and the pull up resistors to prevent the bulb fail light illuminating if some monkey presses the brakes with the fogs on. literally pennies from Maplin - just don't ask me to do the wiring as I don't know how it works at that end :D Let me know if it'll help.
