FUBAR'D My dads Pug

Well the sat nav atleast :D we were in spain (with a pug 406) and thought "yea let's confuse the satnav by turning it on" indeed, that is exactly what has happened, now we are back in the UK it wont work :( (it's the standard satnav fitted to a 2001 406 Estate) the oragne screen one, I removed the battery and left it (this just reset the radio) how does the satnav store info? does it have a cache somewhere that I can reset?

any help is appreciated, Peugeot want to fit a new unit :(

I suppose you've tried leaving it on for up to an hour, to do a cold start and re-initialise the satellite data. Sometimes it really can takethat long for it to work out where it is :(
