No just wondering, my mate from work, works at RB motorsport in his spare time. They built Keith's car and he was saying they are hopeful of a very low 9 at TOTB and mid 8's at pod or shakespeare.

Is the CRD Supra there this year?? Dee Ireland's car I think??

isnt TOTB just on concrete and not a prepped track like the pod? just wondering as ive never been

Yeah, concrete, sposed to be fairly grippy for normalish tyres as it eats them up :D ... whereas pod favours propper drag radials/slicks etc when prepped.

i just got back

Keiths car didnt run as in testing the night before it blew the water pump at 220 mph!!

I only saw the CRD supra run once but looked well in its new colours :)

Rocket ronnie looked good again, i saw him do a 10.1 qtr and over 200 mph

Loads of cars were failing, i saw loads on the top speed run blow :(

There was a few mental cars, my fav was the v8 supercharged granada :) did in the 10s was very fast on the handling track and not sure what top speed.

The dragon RX7 looked silly, the turbo is that big it feed from the bonnet!?

the envy supra looke lovely, such a shame when it went wrong :(

the blue/silver supra looked about the fastest?

other top contenders that failed were RK's R32 which i thought would win this year had oil issues, andy forest did a 9.48 1/4 but blew his manifold apart!? i believe the norris evo 9 snapped a drive shaft

Then i left :)

I believe Keith's aim for this year is to run an 8 second quarter. And today I believe they were attempting the 0-300 km/h record. Which apparently is big in Japan.

Shame it went wrong.

Sounds like there could be a surprise winner then with all the failures.

Yeah, I think Veilside hold that, 0-180 in 13.74 secs.

i was talking to him today and according to testing they should be able to beat it quite easily ;)

they was going to do a stunt today with regards to the 1/4 and top speed but as it went wrong last night they couldnt do it but it would have been very cool :)
