Got my bumper (Stillen) back from the bodyshop and wanted to get it meshed as well; the guy at the bodyshop scratched his head and said he couldn't use the mesh because it doesn't bend easily (apparently I want the Ripspeed mesh  ).

Obviously it can be done so I'd like to have a go myself - has anyone on here done theirs themselves?

Any help much appreciated, I'd like to get it fitted tonight if poss :)

Its the premium all singing and dancing stuff... like used on Astons / Jags etc

Best way is to actually as you have said

if its like the stuff i used, it needs to be held/bent in a vice.

for tight bends form it round a piece of timber

OR

Actually use a piece of timber top and bottom of the opening and attach mesh to this (sikoflex the timber piece to the kit) adds strength and rigidity too..

Cheers guys, I managed it at the last minute on Friday before JAE! I found that using a workbench, a length of timber clamped over it, and a hammer did the trick perfectly :) Then just secured it with a couple of zip ties and plenty of hot-glue :)

Looks lovely (well, imo!) - many thanks Paul :)

how do you hide the cable ties?? don't they make it look naff? :)

no they are on the inside lip of the bumper holes.. You cant see them at all.

Ive got the stuff in question fitted as well and Paul if Im right is using the supplier I used after he saw mine. I had small wodden bits stuck on to the bodykit so that the mesh could be attached securely.

:)
