whitesupratt
I have a 93' J spec TT, how do I know what oil to put in the rear diff. The technical section only states LSD, mine isnt an LSD though is it? if youn turn one rear wheel the other doesnt turn with it.
Supe
Have a look at the Trans/Axle code on the Vin Plate mate, think theres something on mkiv.com that tells you everything about it.
SimonB
Have a look on the VIN plate at the axle code. It's on the same line as the transmission code, there should be two groups. The first is the transmission, A340E for an auto or V160/161 for the manual. The next bit (something like A01A) is the axle. The last letter will be A for a standard diff or B for a LSD. miko_supra
Isn't their something about the supra "lsd" and how its not properly known as an lsd. Cause mine is supposed to have it and the other wheel doesnt turn..

JohnA
Even the TT with the Torsen LSD doesn't need the special 'LSD' oil. It's all gears inside, so a good synthetic gear oil should be fine.
