Well, after trying various things to get the car going and following advice form some other members, now it starts but throws out black smoke. It hardly idles and often stalls. Can't accelerate more than 2.5k as it sounds lumpy as hell and i dont like the black smoke coming out of the exhaust.

I remember i had a problem like this before ages ago, and it turned out to be a loose/disconnected wire when i had my apexi safc fitted and it was massivly overfueling... - Thats since been removed...

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Craig.

Has it started to do this since you had the SAFC removed?
On a TT pre VVTI it can be the followin causing black smoke,

Totally knackered Lambada sensor,
Boost leak due to split boost hose (Can you hear a hissing sound?)

The above would cause a stock/BPU car to over fuel majorly and thus you get black smoke.

If it started to smoke since the reomval of the SAFC then theres a good bet that it hasnt been removed correctly, check the wiring especially around the ECU to see if its been made redundant properly and safely.

i had it removed 2 years ago... just i've been playing with wires in the footwell as the car was dead since doing emergency stop.. I've managed to so far get it running :-) - but not very happily..
