Finally got a supra, is there any meets planned?
Has anyone used hyeline (penarth rd) for performance upgrades? and any good local bodyshops anyone can recomend?
Different views from people on Hyeline to be honest fellar.
Personally would not use anymore. But some do.
Where abouts are you?

Welcome matey. Same as Markie said people have different views on Hyeline, Im taking my car there next week to have a knocking sorted out, the guy seemed to know what he was talking about. If it was anything major i don't think i would bother with them from what has been said tbh. If anything more needs doing on my car im taking it up MKIVSTORE.com in Bristol, Went up there this weekend not to far from me.
Wales meet should be in the pipe line soon my friend :D

Thanks guys live out in Sully, just needed servicing done, the 60k one. After realising yesterday that the MKIVSTORE.com was in Bristol i thought they'd probably be best.
Heard mixed reports on hyeline, just checking really. Went to toyota today wouldn't trust them as far as i can throw them, but i thought it'd give me a good idea of price. They tried to make out they serived lots of UK supra's just not imports until I pointed out the number sold in the UK ;)

Well like i said i think Hyeline are ok with little things, i will get them to fit my lowerd springs, Any engine work would be a no no for me. When i was down there i seen 2 Supras and 4 Skylines so they can't be that bad. Will let u know how i get on with them.
Gareth :D
You could do most of the work yourself buddy. Just need go-go gadget arms for reaching some stuff :)

Any updates on hyeline?? I went there today to see about servicing and so forth. They didn't like the idea of me bringing my own oil, fluids etc... went on about not trusting advice from forums and so forth. Didn't feel any greater reassurance having been there. Anyone else?
Hey mate, I'm from Cardiff an i've used hyline before as well. They were ok but like Cardiffsupra said i'd only trust them with little things!! I'm gonna take my supra to Martin at the mkivstore tommorrow morning to have the suspension looked at! He knows what he's talking about an seems like a really nice guy!
As for decent body shops, There's a place in Ely in Cardiff called crashes r us that sorted my last supra out before i sold it, an i was so pleased with the work i'm gonna take my new one there in december to have a full respray done!! They're a lexus/toyota approved paintshop an don't charge stupid amounts of money!!
Cheers mate
Dave

I felt I had a good service from them (they reckoned they use the best lubes and coolant etc.)and they changed the reasr discs and pads which work excellent. They weren't able to remove the cam pulley to change the belt as they didn't use (or trust using) the special tool and wanted to drop the gearbox to hold the flywheel (£450 labour extra and risky). I removed it with the tool and a scaffolding tube without a hitch. I think that sums them up really. General work is good but don't expect specialist level service on the Supra.
On a seperate note you two guys going to the Welsh motor show tomorrow? I have a spare club pass going.

- yep used martin for a clutch top rate! just 100 miles round trip from Cardiff hence i was looking at hyeline. I was thinking interpro/mkiv store for uprating the engine (long term) but something local for servicing/MOTs.

ah cool still hadn't got anywhere with looking for a good body shop. Will check them out, do you know which road in Ely they're on? Do you know how much respray is yet as i'll be looking for this next year :d

-cheers but i can't go :(
Cant remember what the road is called sorry, its in an industrial estate. When I'm next there i'll let you know. Not sure quite how much the respray will be yet, but they've always been reasonable.

Funnily enough. They said the exact thing to me when I went there ages ago.
I personally would not use them..
