If you are thinking of buying this DVD or have ordered it from Envy then don't read any further!:p I think Gaz may still have a few copies for sale.

Just thought I’d do a quick review and summary! Great vid!

The GTQ 71 Turbo seemed quite popular with the Yanks.

Not only Supras, other cars included Ferrari 355 and a Supercharged Viper!

Track Action:

Lots of cars on the track but lots of Supras spinning out as well as an NSX, 350Z and 200SX!

Fella called Mark Brown then showed how it's all done on the track! Some Great driving from him

SCCA Supra was awesome – Fully stripped out track monster

Dyno Shoot out

Figures seemed very optimistic, using the American HP system I guess and wheel horsepower figures. Some Dyno figures:

690 hp 2JZ MKIII Supra

1025 hp Supra (Stock engine, and only aftermarket rods supposedly!) GT42 turbo

Stock twin Supra '535 to the ground'! Sounds a bit too much!

Stefan’s 3.4L Stroker Kit Supra - GT47 80mm Turbo - 1138 hp - screamed like Annabel Chong in a gang band world record!

Twin Turbo Dodge Viper - 1355 hp/1371 ft/lb torque!

Ryan Woon (WOT Motor sports) – His rear end was really squatting down! - 1133 hp. He wasn't too happy and started getting the hump with the technicians. He reckoned his HP was much higher. He’s such a sissy!

Virtual works Supra- 1154

John Pratkanis’s Supra 987 hp

Titan Motor sports Supra (complete with parachute!) – 1249 Hp – Sounded like a jet engine!

Cody Phillips - Flames were spitting out like a machine gun on his Supra! Ended with his Throttle body getting stuck open.

Ian Polin’s Supra - 1014 HP

Street Racing and Show and Shine competition

There was a chapter each on street racing and the show and shine competition – some very nice cars!

Drag racing day –

Viper class – The Vipers got into the 10’s

Boost logic – They managed 9.33 in the initial start off practice runs - all cars had traction problems to start off with.

The pro shootouts begin with:

Ryan Woon – 8.72

Titan - 8.37

Titan then with adjustments managed 7.94 – 181 terminal (Highest MPH and Lowest ET) of the day

Virtual works vs. Boost logic – VW almost collided with BL as VW crossed into BL’s lane!!!

Ryan Woon managed a second gear wheelie!

After some adjustments, Titan managed an 8.12 but their Turbo exploded! They borrowed a 91mm turbo in place of the 88.

Semi finals –

Titan Vs Sound performance - Both get into the 9’s. SP just scraping past Titan

Boost logic v Ryan Woon - No run for Ryan (breaks down on start line, I think their gearbox exploded). BL get 8.14/172.8 T

Final BL v SP -

Both have great starts – BL finish first – 8.177 /172.35 T

They then did a victory Drag run – 8.10/172.4 T. They managed this with a split IC!

It was great to see a Supra DVD….Can’t wait for the France Gumball DVD!

My Dolby Digital Sub Woofer took a pounding, bloody big single Turbos!

Cheers,

Ro

its a good dvd but the sh*ty corny music in the background spoils the entire dvd action. the recording voluum of the crap heavy metal music and the sound of the lovely machines together spoils the fun.

at least have some uplifting music instead to go with the speedy action
