Well sort of...Yesterday after leaving work I got a mile down the road and the temp gauge suddenly went up to 'H'. As I was on a dual carriage way in Bristol in Rush-hour I pulled off when I could. The engine under the bonnet seemed very hot for such a short journey, so I assumed there was a problem other than a faulty gauge & phoned the RAC. Whilst waiting the engine cooled sufficiently for me to be able to safely remove the rad cap, and bugger me - no coolant!!!, although the exp tank did have 2-3 inches in it.

RAC man filled rad up and car seemed OK. :)

Now the ironic part - I was actually on my way to an Air Con place to have a refurbished compressor and new drier & expansion valve fitted. Took the car in last night (guy waited for me to arrive :) ) and he's had a good look round.

Basically, my water pump seal has failed and he reckons it's been leaking for a while and finally just given up and dumped loads of coolant. If the pump was gonna go, it couldn't have gone at a better time, as both jobs can be done at the same time saving on labour costs and embuggerance factor.

Doesn't look like I'm gonna be able to get the Supe to Martin's on Sunday though :( although if I'm allowed I'll come in the Integrale.

Red 16V mate. link here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=44582&highlight=integrale

Nothing too fancy, but is chipped to 1.4Bar. Pretty quick, and good fun cross country. :D Would like a late Evo 2, but too many £££ and they've only got a small turbo. Tracked it at Goodwood in April and am going to Rally Day at Castle Combe on 22nd July.
