Going to look at one of these with a mate before the weekend. Not an A1 example, but wanted as a project car. Anybody know about 'em?
What should I look for? I hear spares are readilly available but are they expencive?
Ta all.
Look out for the usual classic car nightmare. Rust and more rust.
MGs are cheap to buy parts for - as long as you've got a decent base to start on. The B Hive (http://www.mgbhive.co.uk/)is a common place with discounts for club members.
Depends how mechanically minded your friend is, they'll be tinkering all the time.

dad and me were renevating a MGBGT, we sold it last year. it was great fun. biggest problem we had was rusting sills, pretty much the only thing we couldnt really fix ourselves.
