China Man
Hi, I don't fancy paying lots of money for branded stuff so I took the brave step, I went chinese. http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/3161/headunits3au.jpg The DVD unit can play all format include the all important MP4/DIVX. I download lots and lots of MTV to enjoy in the car. The youtube clips is ok quality too. here is a demo I have read many comment on how the quality and built of these non branded are rubbish and the screen over heat and motor gave up after a while. I have been using it for a month now and so far so good. I have to say tho, the built quality are rubbish!! but it does what it says on the tin and all format accepted, some funny compression audio and video are not accepted but all main stream format works. USB thumb drive works and I tried it with a 4Gb one, no skip even on the roughtest road surface. I will get a 10GB thumb drive when it become more affordable. I nearly killed it when it comes to installation. Not much instruction and when you screw into the unite through the cage, the screw acturally reaches the moving part inside the TV unit.........lucky I realized that b4 I power up or else I am sure the TV are fcuked. All in all I give it 7/10, if I have the money I will go for the alpine or major brand even they don't have MP4 support yet. If I can afford the 800 pounds tag then I am sure I won't need to download clops, just buy DVDs. I spent 200 pounds all in DVD unit bought when I was in HK and TV via ebay uk seller. "pump it" and "hips don't lie" are my favourate MTV in the car at the mo
