Which Wire (colour) is the Power/Supply to the elec aerial? UK Car. Cheers :)

Usually blue mate. It may have a white strip on it.

on the car loom yeah... not my CD loom... the actuall Loom on the car, from factory... i'll go and have a look - cheers buds!

ive had a look at the wiring diagram,

Got a Radio Amplifier (which has been removed to install my Alpine CD player)
Auto Antenna Relay, which is connected to my HeadUnit, and was connected to my Amplifier

Any idea's on bypassing the amp?
Or anyone got a wiring diagram online, i havn't got mine at hand now

It should be the pink with blue stripe and i think it's black with red stripe as well. They'll both need the aerial signal from the head unit to make it work :)

i thought its the red one, and the green is negative

blue would be remote switch on?

The wires I just mentioned are the same for all late 80's/early 90's Toyota's, if you wire both of them to a positive switched source from the CD player your aerial will work.

Just re-read the other part of your post too. I had this problem with a factory fitted amp.

When you take the dash out, look down in the left hand side inside the dash cavity and you'll see two looms as such coming out of a white box. One set of wires goes to the amp and the other comes out of it. Lose the wires that go between that and the existing stereo and use the other wires (should be two white connectors) to wire you stereo in with. This will bypass the amp and solve you many many problems. If you look in this loom you'll find the two wires for the aerial that I mentioned :)

Yeah i found those 2 white block connectors when i put the cd player in when i got the car, lucky really.. i was going to make a new loom for the cd player, cos i bought the adaptor loom for my cd player, and said hold on , these dont match, and then, after takin my carpet, amp and bits of my dash, guess what i found lurking donw my dash ---- those 2 connector, phew

Righto back to the point, cheers for that, i'll go and do some rewiring now.. NICE ONE :thumbs:
