It's probably got a modern ISO ariel connector and the supra has the old type (plug with long end).

You can get an adapter for couple of quid from Maplins or any car hifi shop

If you remember to PM me tomorrow eve, I may have one that I'll post out to you. I'm away from home at the mo.

The modern type head unit connector and aerial is known as 'ISO' Type

ISO isn't actually the name of a plug. It actually comes from 'international standards organisation' (Actually "International Organisation for Standardisation"). But it's all a load of paper-shifting bollox as manufacturers keep bloody changing things!

I need to get out more...

since there are two aerials on the supra, is there an adapter that one can use in order to connect both to an Alpine stereo.

Nope. The smaller one is generally only for radios equipped with diversity reception. You would gain nothing by conneceting them together.

Pfft...dont complain...things such as these are the reason guys like us are still in business :) ...you know the majority of people will seek out a specialist to get a readio fitted cause of such small "hick-ups" :D

LOL, very true! - Its all thing modern multiplexing I dont like. I had to wire up a GPS detector in a new BMW 5 series a few days back. It took me about 1/2 an hour just to find an ignition switched 12v!

I know exactly what you mean! We've had a couple of scares whilst trying to fit alarms on new Citroens.

I think I should start specialising on pre 2000 cars only ;)
