Emanage maps – Greddy pressure sensor?

Got a copy of my mates’ Emanage (blue) map and it’s a bit different to mine, even though we have the same car/same engine.

Additional Injection and Ignition Timing maps on mine from 0 to 200 kPa (gauge) which is dandy as that equates to 2 bar gauge (as expected, using the 3-bar Greddy pressure sensor).

His maps, on the other hand, run from 0.66 to 2.32 Kg/cm2 (absolute) which I make 2.275 bar absolute/1.275 bar gauge.

Also, I can choose to map against absolute pressure, relative pressure or sensor voltage whereas he can only map on absolute pressure or sensor voltage.

What’s occurring? My simple mind says that his Greddy pressure sensor just isn’t being allowed for in the maps. Would the fact that his trims fuel using the universal injector adjustment factor and mine uses the airflow adjustment map have anything to do with it? I can’t see why, but that’s the only other difference that I can see (the rest of the settings are the same).

This coudn't be as simple as him not having the Greddy Pressure sensor could it? No, I haven't looked.

Agh! I've just noticed that his setup doesn't have the Greddy Pressure Sensor box ticked! Sorry about that.

He says that he bought the Greddy Pressure Sensor and had it installed (by someone reputable). I'll have a look under his bonnet.

I suppose that the way to check this is to click the option for the pressure sensor in Parameter Settings, plug the laptop into his Emanage, change the Options->Input Data Setup parameters to include the Greddy Sensor and then see what data gets logged. If it shows a voltage then we are sorted. Any banana skins waiting for me here?

Simon, where would the Greddy Pressure sensor be? And what does it look like?

If I can find it then it answers the question.

If I havent got it, is it needed, how much are they and is it easy to fit?

Also, dont forget I'm running 650cc injectors and a single turbo now.

Andy, the turbo and injectors don't make any difference here. You can see from the attachements above that my setup allows for the Greddy pressure sensor but yours currently doesn't.

The point of this is that you can't currently map above 1 bar boost with this setup.

If we find that you do have one then the next step will get the Emanage to use it. I expect that some mapping may then be in order.:eyebrows:

As you are just using stock MAP sensor on the emanage you can just tune up to 14psi (ive no idea what Engine your are using but most factory map sensors are just 2bar) whereas anything above 14psi needs the Greddy Sensor which is 3 bar.

Both are Soarer's - 1JZGTE and I think one is mine and the other his.

Mine was 'mapped' by Pete at Thor.

I'm running 650cc injectors and a GT 30/37s single turbo kit.

And niether are the black one I wupped your butt in last year around the industrial road with Jane in. :p

How much for you to map mine?

Oh it's you :nyah: That was alright that Soarer, right fast. I'd have liked to have seen it go on the dual carriageway ;) Rapidly backwards that is :p

It is getting made faster after it's owner and Japanese tuner flew over to Germany and then blew it up on the Ring. :rolleyes:

The Jap tuner had never left Japan before and got a 10.34 first lap. So much for Clarkson..... :p
