I wouldn't drive mine if the bottom pulley was about to fly off, think about what it will do if it came off at 3k rpm???

£25 per hour! Geez, dont think you could run a specialist business on that nowadays!

We are £55 for the first 3 hours, then £40 there after.

Na a long dance to see if we can make it 4 hours ;)

I charge this because we know Supras. Supra's is all I do at the moment, and soon 350z's. You will find our work exeptional and fully warenteed. No bad stories come from this camp. You pay your money you take your choice.

Bigger the job cheaper the labour.

Well just to let you know it's dead now got 2 miles out of town and it decided it had enough of life and dropped off. Belt came off as whole so no bits of engine about. Any idea if this can bugger anything else up (apart from a trip to the beach and my now unhappy G/F)

If it didn't damage anything by flying off you should be ok. Obviously don't run the engine until the pulley has been replaced as the water pump won't work without the belt on.

How did you get the car back home?

Cheers for the offer Martin but got it recovered through Lancaster and a friend of my Dads is going to sort it out for me (he runs a garage and specilises in performance cars). Fingers crossed should all be ok only went to fill it up before heading to the beach with some mates.

Rob
24-06-06, 19:23
Fun isn't it, when it comes off. Mine flew off mid-roundabout. Oh how we laughed about it at the service desk of Sidcup Toyota....

when my aux belt tensioner broke off, smashed the crank pulley into 2 (as in cut in 2 like a cake ) smashed alternator to bits, damged 3 pulleys and went into the bonnet and ripped off the under tray.

well fair to say my dash lit up like a christmas tree :D
