Bob
Driving down to watch the D1 drifting on Sunday, and was giving the car a good airing. However, as I was accelerating fairly hard from 70, when the second turbo kicked in there was a bloody great cloud of grey smoke spewing out the back! I let off the throttle a bit and once she'd dipped below 4k (ish) revs, the smoke disappeared. It's only happened the once though, and hasn't returned. Would I be right in thinking the 2nd turbo is possibly on its last legs? Hope not, 'cos I can't afford to go single yet
Homer
The only time that happened to me was when I discovered the rear gearbox oil seal started leaking. Hot oil + hot exhaust = lots of smoke! Hope its something simple and not 'you know what'.
wkdtime
Mate if you sure it was grey smoke then it wont be the tubbies, maybe running a little rich, maybe normal. Do you get blue smoke on idle or when you blip the throttle when the car is warm?

I really am hoping it was a one off, but now I'm getting paranoid - even the whistle from #1 seems to be getting louder!
