Going BPU

Hi,

Ive got the tuning bug and wanna BPU My TT, its all ready got a 5Zigen cat back exhaust and Blitz filter and got a hks fcd on the way,

so i want to get both decats, 1.2b ring and a uprated fuel pump, but im a total newbie when it comes to tuning sup's, how much do these bits go for on average? second hand (de-cats) and new, wheres best to get the bits

 

Any info will be greatly apreciated.

You'll need a few more bits than that (plugs, fuel filter, full service, decent air filter ;) ), but it shouldn't cost more than £800 to do properly. Less if you're handy with the tools and can find a bargain or two.

 

BTW: I had an older model 5zigen on mine, it was extremely restrictive. After BPUing, replacing it with the RSR released another 0.15bar.

Shes just had a service, i forgot to say plugs, are denso iridiums are the best ones for bpu? didnt think bout fuel filter so il add that to the list :)

 

Are 5zigen not very good then?

I've just had a service and double decat done, and had change from £600. That includes TerribleTurners double decats & fcd, turbofit restrictor ring, new plugs, air/fuel/oil filters, oil, air con re-gas, geometry changed for a trackday plus odds and sods. It's holding 1.0bar quite nicely and I've retained the stock exhaust.
