sprayed one of mine on weekend coincidently.

undo plastic clip and base and undo nut. the one on the drivers side requires opening the bonnet of course.

take the pressure of the spring off the arm (by holding both parts, one in each hand) and then it will slide off the splines - otherwise it is a tight fit and you might slip and damage something.

I used to spare black spray I had - it was actually halfords plastic bumber paint and it gave a nice thick satin type finish. Only did the end though from where it goes thin, not the whole arm as the rest was ok.

If the whole thing needed doing I would consider getting a new one instead maybe?

I did mine at the weekend as well but bought paint from halfords, not the usual car paint but the fancy tins that you can use to paint any surface.

I got metallic black, when you were spaying it you could see the flakes coming out as well, gave a cracking finish and far nicer than just plain black.

Can't mind the make but began with a K
