Just clearing out some old supra bits, and i have a set of front 4 pot callipers but the drivers side one has a small hairline crack by the thread for the brake hose and did leeks fluid when under pressure.

Can this be fixed as I would like to sell them as a working set.

I have tried masking tape and staples with no luck. ;)

Thanks

There are craftsmen out there, who do this sort of repair every day as their living.

I recently bought a set of 4 pot brakes only to discover one of them was cracked in the same place as yours.

I found a local company (on a recommendation) who specialise in such repairs, mainly for racing cars, and had mine fixed for £80.

Your call

As an engineer i personally would have it fixed and put it on my own car. There are a lot of thing dependant on the repair, How deep the crack is, how good the weld is, where the crack is. Its very possible that it will be ok and who you sell it to wont have any problems but brakes have to deal with alot of stress.
