Engine steam cleaned

I steam cleaned my own Supra TT engine at least 10 times, and my skyluine engine has been done as many, if not more times. Just dry it all out straight away, and avoild prolonged aggresive jetting of electrical bits. NEVER had an issue if dried out immediately.

Caveat, I use "Steam Clean" in the same incorrect way as 90% of people, as in I hot water deteregent washed my engines. A true steam clean is superheated steam, and will remove paint, insulation wrapping, blah blah.

i used plenty of gunk engine cleaner, sprayed on, then gave it a good scrub with a brush.

then rinse off with a hose pipe set on mist, this way it avoids the strong direct jet, which can cause electrical probs

Cover your alternator before doing this, as water can mince the bearings and you then get that nasty screetch (not belt squeal) everytime you accelerate....you can hear it from other steam cleaned cars every day if you drive with the window down...:)
