Cruise Control fitting?

Cruise control was a factory extra. Some cars have the looms fitted without the system, others have none of the electrics.

I asked in the past and was told it was prohibitively expensive to retro fit. However, I'd be interested in *How* expensive, and what was involved.

Edit: That post took my laptop 8 minutes to send

I sold my full cruise control set to Rob Sheffield last year so if he is still working on it then its not an easy fit...

My original RZ spec import did not have any of the wiring required, but other RZs have been reported as having it fitted. If Rob can post up his findings that might help.

was there a bit missing from the kit I gave you? Might be worth posting up what the bit was so that anybody breaking a car can find it and also anybody buying a full cruise kit can make sure its there.

I thought I had everything I needed in the kit, didnt actually have the wiring loom in the car so the project stopped dead.

Branners,

there is a bit of the loom that goes from the steering wheel cowl (from the switch on wthe wheel) to the cruise ECU and then from there off to the actuator under the bonnet

its called cowl number wire number 9 if memory serves.

i have asked Jezzybabes about 5 times, but he rarely gets them in :(
