Does anyone know where and what part number is the best description of the correct best connector that will allow my old stereo connectors for a double din in a jap import to connect to a lot more modern pioneer single din. Any help will be much appreciated, thanks.

Do not cut the stock wiring!
This lead enables you to connect to the stock stereo wiring and then connect to modern ISO head unit. It also bypasses the stock amp so better sound quality too :)
Cheers Matey, for that suggestion. Bought it, tried it, and sods law, it doesn't fit.Perhaps there is another approach to this Japanese wiring like another connector. If anyone has had simillar problems,I'd be really grateful for your advice. Cheers.

Try connecting it down into the passenger side footwell, not straight to the jap stereo connector. It will fit it has been proven to fit.
Thanks a lot for that. I'll give it a try.
As said above, one end goes to the two white connectors bottom left of the stereo area housing- remove any connectors already connected, plug the two white connectors and the other end goes in the stereo
