Pixelfill
Hi guys, I'm looking to get some fairly cheap wheels for thrashing at track days, drag strips. What would be the minimum wheel width you could get away with on a TT (Front and Rear). Just so I don't go stupid and get some 7inch wheels with bicycle tyres on them. What is the minimum wheel width that could safely accomodate say 255s on 18s? Mike
hadyn
9" on the rears mate, just for pure safety
jamesmark
Go for 3" wheels, then you can chase trains.

Chris Wilson
They aren't bad on 8 inch rims all round, but 8 front and 9 rear is better really. For track usage I like 225 fronts and 245 or 255 rears, all on 17 or at the most, 18 inch rims, 50 offset, correct spigot centre hole size, too, which is VERY important for track usage!! Nic
Mike, if you're wanting track day or drag wheels, why not just get a second hand set of 17" OEM Supra wheels or even 16" if you don't have the larger brakes fitted.
