SupraStar 3000 Posted June 3, 2006 Share Posted June 3, 2006 After wire brushing and painting my wheel hubs a few months ago the car developed a shudder at 80mph and above. It was like my car had tourette syndrome and square wheels. As I had my wheels balanced at the same time I assumed it was this at fault. To day myself and a mechanic cut off the paint layer over the hubs and rebalanced the wheels. Not surprisingly I feel like a prize c*nt and the cars runs perfect. 135mph on the way home and not a problem. I painted my passenger side calipers and HUBS, this week, ready for my new wheels. The wheels still sit fine on the hub and there is no paint inbetween the wheel and hub, i kinda went round them very neatly. But i have painted the whole hub, just not the face. Is this bad?
