I've been following a guide by Alex here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=59787

And I've suddenly realised that this is for a manual transmission radiator.

Questions:
1. Are the two hoses connected to the bottom of the radiator auto transmission fluid hoses?

2. If I disconnect the two hoses (feed/return?) from the bottom of the rad, am I going to get covered in auto transmission fluid?

I'm guessing - yes and yes...

3. Any ideas on how to disconnect the hoses and plug them without trashing my transmission / losing transmission fluid???

Answers/Help please :D

Yes they are.
A bit of fluid will come out, not much. Tie the rubber hoses in an upward postion, or plug them with a bolt, or connect them together.
Nothing to worry about, get on with it you slacker :D

LOL - thanks for the answers - and the vote of confidence! I'm probably being over cautious to try and compensate for my incredible lack of skill and experience!!!

Right, now, what was next on Alex's instructions...cup of tea - excellent! :D
