supranuts
Hi all. Just need a little advice. Sup is currently having an engine rebuild and I want to change the standard pistons with forged type. Don't want to bore the engine. Anybody recommend any decent pistons (relatively inexpensive) that I can use or should I put new toyota pistons in. I'm not going for a massive bpu upgrade although at the moment it does have Sard Chip, Blitz Exhaust, Arc Intercooler, Blitz air filter and currently runs at about 400bhp. Ta in advance. JE, CP Race Pistons, HKS, Jun, Tomei are all good! May as well go forged, they aren't much more than Toyota, any whilst your in there and all that! Gaz. Jake
If keeping the stock bore I would stick with the Toyota pistons.
supranuts
Just the man. The car is up your way and wanted to talk to you anyway. Whats the cost of the pistons you mentioned in standard bore size.

Jake
Hi Jake, any reason why? They're good quality and dirt cheap (£267 for 6 pistons and rings - bargain!)
Gaz Walker
They're good quality and dirt cheap (£267 for 6 pistons and rings - bargain!) Really? Way cheaper than when I last enquired. Gaz.
Jake
That's the price Steve Manley quoted me. Unfortunately I needed 86.5mm ones but Toyota don't do oversize ones.
supranuts
Yep I agree. Got quoted from RMB Toyotain darlington £35 each for pistons and £118 for a set piston rings + VAT so I thought it was a bargain too!
