Boost Gauge query

Hi,

I'm after a 60mm white faced mechanical boost gauge, to go in the air vent. Dont really fancy spending loads on one. Has anyone had anything of this place http://www.gaugeplace.com/

Was really after something with a peak hold function but they only seem to come as electrical versions?

They also seem to list them on that site as 65mm, is that the correct size?

Thanks

I don't know of any mechanical boost gauges that include peak hold function.

How about the GReddy Mech gauge or electronic gauge which includes peak hold.

or Blitz MD with white face, available in mech or electronic

Thanks Nic, the Greddy one with peak hold (electrical) can that be used just on its own, i was always under the impression any electronic gauges had to have a controller with them as well?

No the GReddy and the Blitz gauges are both standalone gauges, you can see the small buttons on the gauges (front on Greddy and top of rim on Blitz), these are used to control the warning and peak hold features.

Most manufacturers have started to offer separate 'link system' ranges though now, following the success of the Defi range, but all still offer standalone gauges also.

am i right in thinking i would need a 60mm gauge to go in the air vent next to the clock on a facelift dash? Does anything need to be blocked off behind the vent first?

Could you let me know a price for the greddy electrical one please? any pics of what it looks like lit up?

Thanks

Yes a 60mm gauge will fit inside the adjustable round ball airvent (need to remove inners). You just need to block off the feed to the airvent (just seal over with a polythene and tape or something similar).

If you go here and press the arrows it will show you illuminaton and function, the white one also lights up with green numbers and red needle.
