Hi Nic, finally got round to picking up my strut brace from Cumbria yesterday. I can safely say I am very impressed with it - definately should be on the list of 'must have' additions to an N/A - stiffened up the front-end a treat. You can really hammer it into corners now and on the motorway it feels WAY more stable at 100+ Leptons, the front just feels a lot more planted than before.

I liked the inscription on the bar, too:

"Enjoy Motoring and Motor Spirits by Carbing"

Well worth it, mate. Very noticeable difference IMO. Looks like there's plenty of room to fit a Tein EDFC, too.

I'm amazed it makes that much difference... just at the end of replacing 'the essentials' on mine and then I think I'll have a look at one of these.. :)

LOL, I have the same sort of anti bling engine bay as you and I'm too embarassed to fit the Carbing strut brace until I cleaned it thoroughly

Sod it, I fitted it anyway and now our cars now look like clones :p

One anti-bling engine has some bling

Nice one Dave, have you had a chance to test it yet? Has the brace made any difference to your brake pedal feel, as you were getting quite a bit of flex from you master cylinder as I remember?

Cheers Nic,

With this never ending rain just recently, I've not really had a chance to push the car too much - so can't really comment on the rigidity or the difference to the stopping power but the brake pedal certainly feels firmer than before.

:)

Owdo Nic, thought I'd post up a couple of close-up pics for you to pass onto the lad who wanted to know clearances. Not heard Nything from him yet.
