I want to be able to play my ipod in the car
Looking for some way of intigrating the install with my current (average) system.
Its a pioneer head unit with a small jbl amp and speakers
I need a carrier for the ipod with some kind of remote (steering wheel mounted) and small screen that can show the ipod contents
Anyone any ideas?
John

If your Pioneer unit is changer compatable, how about getting the Ipod adaptor?

alternatively, sell the pioneer and buy yourself an Alpine 9850Ri.

best money i've spent on ICE in a long, long time as it has a direct link to ipod making it quicker than the other 'add-on' links.

I have a Pioneer headunit and have the box to plug my pod into, apart from being a little slow quality is excelent.

I am asured it is only slow because my Headunit is old

Possibly. I'm using one with a DEH-P77R, and it seems quick enough to me.

That pioneer ipod box looks promising. Going to look further into that.

My head unit is an old-ish one I think
its a pioneer p5000r 2
Looking a bit shabby now

I am not a huge audiophile or big into ice installs. Just a good sound with easy to use controls does me fine.

The alpine unit does sound nice. But I think I would have to go down the f1 route :d I believe they are very good. Maybe overkill for what I want though

Does that pioneer unit support a small display screen that mimics the ipod screen?

Thanks guys

Ive been looking at that model for a week or so now and trying to decide which to get, that, or splash out a bit more and get a better model. What is the 9850 like, i must admit the thought of it being a direct link, rather than through the control unit appeals.
