thank u all im happy i got a tt straight up rather than messing about with another n/a. i didnt know the difference would be this much!

nic - its pretty much stock apart from it has a hks superdrager and a cone head induction kit (which im in the mind to take off) and some 17' oz alloys which im not too fond of.

it has leather front seats too which i like :)

and as for plans im not too sure what i wana do with it yet - but will be getting myself a boost gauge this week and some clear indicators - maybe rltc etc too in the near future, decat the centre pipe (as ive already got the replacement :eyebrows: )

any other suggestions?

Suggestions, that's a dangerous thing to ask me :diablo: :D

Re-fitting the stock airbox would be a very good starting point

My main suggestion (for anyone whose bought a new car), would be to first take it to a specialist and get it thoroughly checked over and fully serviced (ie. all fluids change, plugs, filter, timing belt if you don't know history, O2 sensor, fuel filter, etc.)

Most Supras are getting on in years now and parts WILL be getting worn and need replacing (suspension bushes, dampers, etc.). Getting the car thoroughly checked over first will highlight any worn parts or problems, get these things replaced/sorted first.

If it was me I would take a trip North up the M6 to Chris Wilson and get him to give the car a good going over, it will be well worth the journey.

Once the car is in tip top running order, then let me know and I'll have a LOT of other suggestions :eyebrows:

If I can help with any advice or if you need any parts just give me a shout :more:

You've already got my list of suggestions :D

Nic's on the ball with the filters, plugs and 02 sensor. and your suggestion of RLTC is a good one too, particularly if you can get it done before Winter.

Right now though Tyres are your priority ;) but if you aren't taken with the Oz alloys, which lets be fair were in need of some TLC, then maybe see if Ibrar or someone can do you a package deal, remember to check that they'll fit over UK spec brakes, and if you change to anything other than 17's make sure you get the geometry checked.

Best of luck mate

Mike

Nice one mate,

Totally agree with Nic i picked mine up the other week there and have done the plugs/clips and diff oil and made the garage fit the standard airbox. Just the gearbox oil to do and decent tyres then i can buy all the goodies.

Take it easy in the wet, it's much easier to slide than the NA.

congrats mate :) bet your chuffed.....save your money and dont buy RLTC you wont need it at stock power levels unless you like ragging it in the wet....sliding is controlable in the dry if your sensible, better off spending the wonger on a stock panel filter and air box setup as you said and a nice decat :)

Where did you get it from in the end mate, i saw/replied to your thread about people in Preston.

Gaz, he bought the one in Preston, Me and Dodgy went along with him. It was being sold by a guy in Much Hoole. The paintwork was in very good condition, and it was pretty stock (exhaust and HKS cone induction) Leather fronts, quiet engine and the turbos were pulling well. I didn't see any smoke at all, but then again the engine was quite warm when we turned up.

There are a couple of things he needs to get sorted, but for the money I think he got a good deal. If I'd had your mobile number I thought about dropping you a line.
