I would also have been happy to say fuck it, the doors are repairable and at least he threw in the door cards which I wasn't expecting, but the 'modified for larger speakers' butchering they have had is pathetic. Can these be re-covered?

The door cards weren't to be included anyway - his description said he also has some door cards for sale separately but they have been modified for larger speakers. No wonder he didn't bother trying to sell them in the end !!

Also, is cutting the wiring loom at the grommet really the only way to do this? Is there not a nice plug that could have been disconnected and pulled through?

They would try to argue that (rightly so really), but maybe you could throw some bubble wrap around them to make it look more adequate.

The box left without a great big hole in it. It looks like it's been thrown about to me with no 'reasonable' care taken.

It's clear that none of that money has gone into the packaging!

Two excellent condition black doors for mark four toyota supra, no dents. Complete with glass, handles and door mirrors. Door cards are available, but have been modified for large speakers.

to be honest i bet you could sell those cards with mounts on here for a bit as people are always upgrading their sound system and from the small pics you've posted you also have the amount.

You should maybe post on here a swap + £50 or something. Their ideal for someone wanting bigger speaker + tweeter setup

I was, you're quite right.. hence why I'm still thinking perhaps I didn't do so bad. It just could have been so much better, for the sake of a bit of bubblewrap.

sorry meant mount mis type. You have the mounts pre-made and attached to card to support and hold the bigger speakers, saves alot of hassle!

You can get some really cool looking cross over boxes with lights etc in. Some people like that kind of thing.

I didn't know DHL would do the packing, but that surely increases my chances of some kind of compensation.

i got a tailgate delivered to me by DHL and there was loadsa bubble wrap etc on and even foam,but when i recieved it, all the edges were bent,it must have been thrown all over the place.
