View Full Version : How much should I pay for a Clifford 950 Intelliguard

Now I know some people don't recommend Gap Security,but its the only place I can get to fit an alarm and I think its down to the technician in the end.The thing is,they've quoted me £949 for the IG950+ £150 roughly for fitting.This includes Intellistart,but still seem a hell of a lot since some places are running specials for the same system at £530.Unfortunately they are too far from me:( .Anyone know of a reliable place up here in Merseyside or near ?

if your going to save so much money and even cost of fuel, there is no such thing as to far, there is only sacrafice, IMHO clifford is just a name what about toad? they are a top notch cat 1, beware that with some insurers that intelistart invalidates the policy

Yes,I wouldn't mind having to sacrifice mate.Just checking on here first;) .The other thing I've found is that some places want to keep the car for two days.Yeah right, to pose around in and rag it I'm sure.Now I've seen the IG950 with Intelliguard advertised still as a Cat1 alarm,but thanx for making me aware of possible hassle with the insurance company.Best to check with them as well.I'm with SKY at the moment so anyone had any problems re this alarm with SKY??

Manchester wouldn't be too bad.I know of a place out there,but can't remember the name just now.They are well known for ICE installs as well.

Gap security have a bad rep for `sh1tty` fitting. We have personally seen and rectified 5 jobs they have fitted. Coincidence? maybe not. I wouldnt like to be stuck fitting a Clifford outside in this country at someones place of work, no wonder they get thrown in.

And YES i have been onto Directed and GAP regarding the fitting, but Directed say its hard for them to do anything as GAP buy such large amounts of Clifford systems from them. It really annoys me.

However on a good note, once we have sorted the 5 previous `cock-ups` we have generated 5 new customers who come back to us and reccommend us to their friends for future work.

Intelliguard 950 fitted you would be looking £499 to £549 inc vat.(No longer available)
However Concept650 with same sensor package as IG950 is £499 still

Intellistart 4 £169 to £225 inc vat on top of above cost.

I personally would not send a fitter out to fit a Clifford at someones place of work, it just isnt parctical or proffessional.

JLS Security, highly recommended by myself, the guys owns a sup himself, fitted my alarm last week and im very please with mine.

I have a works van also but James uses that. I need transport for myself that can be multi-use. Getting a Range Rover 4.6HSE this wk.

Glad you can sleep now!! Always nice to get good reports back from satisfied customers.

What can i say..i like big comfortable vehicles. If i could keep the Supra i would, but summer is coming and its best time to sell. Have an Audi A4 convertible to use on those hot sunny days so not worried bout missing out on burning my head!!

Just let me know what you want with the IG950, ie remote start also.* As ammended above IG 950 no longer avail, however concept 650 with same sensors comes in at £499 to members here
