standard sub farts when you turn it up?

kinda happy with the standard sub and i can tweak it to just the right about i want but then the tune changes and the sub starts farting!!1 I have to turn it right down to stop it!

Guessing the speaker is shot!! So any suggestions of what to replace it with? :)

Im happy with the bass levels from my standard sub just it farts when you turn it up which implies to me the speaker is shot

i would rather replies the speaker unit?

If you mean replace the stock sub, you could probably craft a replacement out of an egg box and some paper glue :p

Hmmm interesting.... would those be suitable as subs considering they're full range speakers? Could find someone to split the cost with considering you'd get two of them :D

Not that they'd be much use to me because I binned the enclosure.

i put a very high quality sony component speaker in the box instead... its 5" mounted on a wooden adaptor. Silicon sealed in also...


result... about 50% more bass and no farting! Still not happy though :) lol
