View Full Version : Rollnig Road/ static meet @ Rebus R/R centre, then convoy to the BIG southend meet
Hope Plenty of you guys can make this one. May 27th, from 12pm onwards
The plan is to get as many jap/ other cars as possible to this meet, for tose of you want to go on the R/Road it is usually £50, but will do it cheaper the more cars that go on it.
There will be food and drink supplied, and at about 5-5.30pm we then have a huge convoy to the southend meet...
Hope to see you all there, as there are quite alot of supes in the south east so thought this could be a good meeting pont to start off the day

I'll try and make it, any idea on price? Will hopefully get there around 12 then. Interesting to know what a 100% Jap TT will make.
about £40 inc vat for upto 1 hours dyno time
Dunno if I'll be able to make it now anyway :( bloody ballast has arranged for freinds to come over Saturday :(

Please do matey... it is for all jap cars, but the R/R is two wheel drive only so no grts can run the dyno.. but all welcome to the meet. I have advertised this on the Skyline owners club too;)

i may try and get along for this but hopefully my car will be going o the rollers friday so no point doing a run but may come for the ride

obviously he can only get so-many cars on in 5 hrs, so it will be a firdt come first seved basis depending on the amount of cars, but there are only a handfull of cars coming.
Please start a list of who defo wants to run and i will pre book your spaces on the dyno.
I have told the guys at rebus that several of you want to run so it shouldnt be a problem

ok peeps, i will not be there tilllater this afternoon as i have to take tom to pick his supeup from turbofit so i will be there a little late.
for those 3 who have pre- booked for the r/road, when you get there speak to ian, he is abig fella, the biggest guy there, he has your names so will make sure you get to run as he has promised me that he will keep spaces.
there are more places available for those who decide last minute, but again it is on a first come first seved basis, so unless your run is pre booked i cant gurantee your place.

Here are some plots from yesterday and then comparison plots from Surrey Rolling Road from last year.
My AFRs are better as it was running pretty rich last time.
What I dont understand is why the cars' pushing less Torque and less Power to the wheels.
Whats consistent is that the car is still not boosting upto 1.2bar (same as before - despite me changing all the hoses recently <between the dyno events>)
We tried to raise the boost on the AFCR to 1.3Kg/cm3 and that made no difference.
Any ideas?
They guys at Rebus think that its the Restrictor Ring that isnt allowing the car to boost upto 1.2bar.
1st three plots are from yesterday and 2nd three are from the previous session.

I put mine on. 382 at the wheels. Thinking about it im happy enough with that result. Problem was that i wasnt reaching full boost till 4700! ???
Got home ok cheers burt. Car seemed fine, will be checking underneath as soon as i get time!

In the bottom right picture we have Tom and Laura.
Laura looks cool in MY jacket, jeans, pointy boots, and (thank heavens) brolly.
Tom wears 100% original two tone Supra Owners Club fleece, facial hair, Voi faded jeans in a loose fit, and blue red Nike racing boots (which turned out to amuse everyone). Oh, and I had a fag to.
Had a great time even with the weather doing its best to upset. Thanks to Ian at Rebus for his hospitality, Burt for organising the meet, and to eveyone who turned up for cheering me up.

Imi I don't think its the restrictor ring thats the problem - the controller should allow you to boost past what the ring is set to. Pop a post up in technical?
Mate....with boosting issues I'd personally take it to Thor to sort it out.

i think i already said to you that its adifferent rolling road, and because of that your figs will be different... and lets not forget that a rolling road is not desighned to give acurate hp readings.. its desighned for tuning etc
