View Full Version : Infinity 5760a AMP
Well, have got this installed with new infinity speakers all round (tweeters fitted in the door). Have got the feed coming from the headunit but i am damned if i can get the amp to use all four speakers from this single cable. If i put the cable to the front speakers it plays the front and back plays the back.
I am in the middle of downloading the user manual (dont ask where mine is) but can anyone shed some light on this. And what should i have the mode set to Flat,LP,HP??
Speakers i have are 65.5cs and 652.5's

I have this amp too.
Its a great amp which shouldn't give you any problems.
Are you using Hi-level inputs or phono leads?
The manual your are downloading will show you which way round mode should be.
Its six chl. 4 speakers and 2 bass
Are you sure its all connected right? 6 lines in and 6 lines out
The input is a single RCA cable.
The back speakers and the front lineout box are being fed by standard speaker cable and as stated work if i plug the RCA into the front feed the front ones work but not the rear and vica verca. They are cabled into the amp as four seperate speakers. I dont have any subs installed at the moment.
I am willing to beg for help!!

How many channels is the amp..? and how many RCA preouts does your head unit have ?.
For Example I use an Alpine head unit with 3 RCA pre outs, 1 front, 1 rear and 1 subs. Front and Rear RCA leads both go to my 4 channel amp, front door and rear quater panels speakers are all powered from that amp. Sounds like you only have the front RCA lead from your head unit to your amp connected. As you dont have any subs yet I wont go into that lol :)
Its a 6 channel amp and my head unit only has one RCA preout.
Am i going to have to cable the four speakers into 2 channels?
6 channels amp! well you could buy an active crossover type thing to allow 2 channels to bit split and adjusted for level and crossover, that will give you nice control.
Since you are only using 2 stereo pairs, you could probably just get (or make) a fader box to give you control over front / rear split. i.e. a box that takes 1 stereo pair in and gives 2 out, with a pot to control the ratio of front to rear.
or get a better head unit with 2 stereo pair outs and fader control...
Just for closure i bought a couple of cheapy y splitters that have done the job till i upgrade the head unit. These split the single RCA feed into 2.
