Can the map ecu i got from you guys work on my next Supra a VVti?
Chief.....it works on mine!!
ask Terry
Can the map ecu i got from you guys work on my next Supra a VVti?
Sorry was out tuning for a couple days. Yes the VVTi system really has no effect on the MAF circuit, it will work fine. Here in the US we use them on the IS300 with VVTi and works a charm.
Thanks!
right now i'm in need of a maf sensor for my 2jz-gte vvti. But is taking a while to obtain. Car is just sitting there and i've been thinking about getting a Map-ECU.
If i were to get the Map-ECU.. where can i get a cal map (if thats what it's called) to start up my car?
You can download the maps off the mapecu website, or im sure Jarrett may supply you with one. He also sells them :) Ive got one for mine, with map.
I dont see any maps for the VVTI 2jz-gte's.
I dont think i can use the autolearn feature since i dont have a maf sensor to start with.

You cant really use the autolearn with MAP based cars. I have a map for the Jspec MAP cars using 850cc injectors, just email me to get started.
Thanks,
Hi,
I'm about to purchase a MAP-ECU2 with my Supra VVTi but I'd like to know if the Fields Harness is direct plug in into my 6spd Supra VVTi 2jz and the MAP-ECU2.

Im referring to the PowerHouse racing harness.
Cheers

The harness won't fit - the VVTI Supra has a 5 plug setup and the pre vvti has a 3 plug. Since the US never got a VVTI TT model, PHR won't have the right harness by default....however they may well be able to get one special order. I've completely forgotten where I got mine, which isn't very useful, think it was second hand from a member on here.
No worries.
greenline.jp used to sell them... not anymore. Bummer :(
Bit of a bump.
Im out looking for a 2jzgte vvti map to get started with my mapecu2. There isnt any out there, would anyone recommened me downloading a vanilla JDM 2jzgte map with 440cc injectors to get started with my mapecu2? Or offer a different solution?
Sir you can do that, the base map will just provide you with something to base your tuning off of. Makes it less time consuming and can get it done quicker! A base map will never be something that you load up and be done with, it will always need fine tuning and tweaks here and there. Let me know how things go!
Cheers,
Joe

You'll need to get the harness for the 161 Aristo which is a T17 (Greddy e-manage designation) harness. The JDM Aristo is a MAF car, would anyone know whether the JDM VVTi is also a MAF car? Thanks.

Hi, I just installed the emanage blue on my 2000 VVTi tonight using an Aristo V161 JDM T-17 harness. I've set the jumpers as per non-VTEC cars (i.e JP1,2,3, 7 and 8 set to 1-2 and JP4,5 and 6 set to open), and set the 3 rotary dials to 6,2 and 4. The Profec E-01 correctly shows the MAF sensor to be TY-HW5. The engine will turn but will not fire.
I did the initial emanage setting using the Profec E-01, setting car to 6 cylinder and 4P. I've updated the emanage with the latest version 1.48 with the Profec updated to 1.13 (I think). Save for the purpose of getting power and rpm signal for the Profec E-01, the Trust T-17 harness has not been spliced or tempered with. I've now removed the emanage and the PRofec E-01 once again runs fine. Any idea what I might have set wrong with the emanage blue? Thanks.
I am not 100% sure because I have never used that unit on a car nore have I installed it. Is there a single or group fire signal that you might be able to change?
Let me know and I might be of help.
Cheers,
Joe
