Hi all,

Just wanted to know what speakers/setups others are running in theirs cars??

I have just removed the standard speakers, bloody glue!! :banghead: Now I would like to start planning what goes in to replace.

The system is going to be along the lines of:
:banghead:

720W amp for subs (got)
2x 10" subs (dont got)
rear speaker replacements (dont got)
front door speakers - mids, tweeters passive crossover type (dont got)

Any advice on all of the above that I have not gotten.

Cheers,
Graham

Thanks for the responses so far... much appreciate it!

In the past I have gove wil JBL speakers and subs, and I was rather happy with the products, they produced and an awesome sound, good quality.

Nic, will those JBLs fit straight into the front or are adapters needed?

Can you get me some prices on those, as well as some 10" subs?

Also do you know anyone, that can build custom installs?? I know what I want and need to get it built. Surrey area of the world....

HK??

Cheers,
Graham

Hi Graham

You will need to make some door brackets for the front speakers, see guide in this section.

I'll check the costs and work out delivered prices, how quickly do you want the parts. The speakers I can send by airmail (5-7 days) but the subs may be a bit heavy to economically send by airmail, may need to send by surface post wich would take around 1 month.

Someone else will need to answer your question about installation.

cheers

Graham do you need a price for a headunit too?

No headunit required...

Will only be looking at the end of this month for the parts, but in no rush to get them... My car is not running, and the interior is stripped now, and front seats come out tonight, so no rush at all.

Car is going in for an engine build in August more than likely... so not running until then at the latest!

Graham, Im in Surrey and do a lot of work with installs, have build 3 for Supras and loads more for other cars, so if you need a hand with anything give me a shout, all have a few sets of the MDF speaker brackets needed for mounting larger front speakers.

Hi Graham

Here are prices for the speakers

JBL P650C Power Series Speakers = £94 a set (2 x speaker/2 x cross overs/2 x Tweeters) + postage
JBL P652 Power Series Speakers = £71 a pair + postage
JBL P1020 Power Series SubWoofer = £94 each + postage

If you do not need urgently then surface post would be the cheapest option.

if interested I will work out delivered prices for you.

cheers

Hi mate,

What Focals where they? Did they fit straight into the plastic enclosures? No mods needed?

Thanks Christian
